We also offer gift certificates from local merchants such as Rosie’s. These will not show up on the “master” list of merchants because we get them directly from the restaurants. If you’re new, Scrip is another name for gift certificates from national and local merchants that the band buys at a discount and sells at face value as a fundraiser. The idea is to use Scrip not only for wedding, birthday, graduation and other gifts but especially to use them every day to buy things you planned to buy anyway like groceries, gasoline, medicine, clothing, and also at restaurants, movie theaters, etc. If you designate a student before your first order, that student receives credit for 40% of the earnings of your Scrip orders. Example: Say you buy $50 worth of Scrip from Rosie’s. The band makes 10% with their discount. So that's $5 earnings from this purchase, of which 40% ($2) goes toward your selected student's account and 60% ($3) goes to the band. If you did this once per month, in a year you would earn $24 for your student’s account, just by using scrip to enjoy your meals at Rosie’s. Now, add in a percentage of what you spend on groceries, clothes,restaurants, pharmacy items, gasoline, etc and it adds up. Next, sign up friends and neighbors or relatives who even live out of state to do the same and designate your student. It really can add up! What Can I Save?
