Grissom High School Jazz Band Festival

Saturday, March 29, 2008

The Grissom High School Band regrets to announce that the Jazz Band Festival originally scheduled for March 29, 2008 has been cancelled for reasons beyond our control. We appreciate your interest in the Jazz Festival and look forward to hearing from you as we plan for next year's festival!

The Grissom High School Jazz Band sponsors a Jazz Band Festival each spring in the school’s auditorium. High School and Junior High School Jazz Bands will perform in competition from 10AM until 5PM. Jazz educators from across the state of Alabama will evaluate the performances throughout the day. They hear all bands perform, give written and taped evaluations, and offer a post-performance clinic for the benefit of the students and their directors. All daytime activities are free to the public.

REGISTRATION $100.00
Limited to the first 13 bands registered!

The fee covers: your stage performance, post-performance clinic (off stage), written adjudication, taped adjudication, digital performance recording, tickets for all participating directors and students to the evening concert and awards ceremony.

Registration deadline is March 7, 2008. Registration fee is $100.00 payable to Grissom Band Parents. Your check must accompany your registration form.
